Memmingen - Daniel Maclean

Now that blogger is back up! I can post this. A track by Ritchie Blackmore of Blackmore's Night called Memmingen. First introduced to me by my Uncle years ago, this band have a great old/medieval sound, with a few albums now, this by far though was my favourite tune. So in the spirit of share and share alike i've recorded myself playing this on the SoundCloud, enjoy!

I posted this on my Uni's website and thought it was worth posting here as well. This howto concentrates on doing this with an xbox 360 using a composite connection. It can also be done with a S-Video connection but won't be covered. Composite: S-Video Step 1: You will need to have a video capture card or a graphics card with a built in VIVO (Video-In Video Out) system or a similar system. My graphics card (GeForce 4 4200) has a built in VIVO connection and came with a cable which allows the connection of a composite video connection (The yellow connector in the left picture above) or a S-Video connection (Pictured on the right). Scottish High School League Table 2021 Mapped

It's that time of year again when The Times , a news organisation, ranks all the high schools in Scotland. It has done this for a few years now, and it would seem that this years results could be quite controversial. On account of the exams not being sat in the same manner as previous years. Instead, exams were replaced with teacher estimates. Whether you agree with that or not, this is where we are. That aside, how does this work? Schools are ranked by calculating the percentage of pupils (students) who attain 5 or more Highers for that year for that school. It's not clear to me if you need to have received specific grades for those Highers, but on the surface, it would seem it doesn't matter. Simply the number of Highers rather than at which grade.  Apparently this is Nicola Sturgeon's "Gold Standard" but my quick look around Google couldn't find a quote on this. Have a source to share? Asus RT-N56U Router with Stock Firmware & Sky Fibre

Wow, what a nightmare Sky Fibre is. All I wanted to do was replace the crappy Sagem wireless router with my Asus Black Diamond router and it turned out to be a 3 week sprint of reading about Asuswrt, Tomato and udhcpc. Turns out that yes, it's a pain to setup, but it's definitely possible... and with the stock firmware! :-D So, how does it all work? Well, firstly, the Sagem router communicates the with BT OpenReach modem like any other ethernet based device, except it uses MER (MAC Encapsulated Routing) to authenticate the device so that you can't just plug in any old router. What does this actually mean? Well it means the Sagem router sends some very specific information to the OpenReach modem, the client id. This client id is naturally not found in any configuration screen, you have to sniff it out of a DHCP packet to get it.
